New Moon days are always a good day for setting intentions/goals for both the coming weeks and coming months.
It’s my way of co-creating with Goddess.
And what I’d love to co-create with Goddess starting with the coming New Moon on January 16, 2018 is:
- Healthier eating habits for life (intention).
- Losing 10 lbs by February 15, 2018 (goal).
And I’d love to get you started on the road to co-creating with Goddess the life you want too!
If you’d like to give it a try, here’s what I do (free printable worksheet can be found below):
On New Moon days, I like to
1. think about,
2. write about,
3. doodle about (Goddess knows I can’t draw!) and
4. meditate on
what I’d like to attract into my life, short and long-term.
I keep a journal for this so I can look back and find the intentions that came to pass and those that need a bit of work.
Some New Moons I’ll work on 3 to 4 different topics and sometimes on one topic. Each topic usually fits on a page.
My first paragraph (2 or 3 sentences) will be along the lines of “With this new moon I intend to co-create with Goddess _____________ (healthier eating habits, happier days, stress-free days, sick-free days, an extra $200, more FB friends, etc)
The second paragraph will be what part I will play in this co-creation “I will help Goddess help me create ______________ (let’s say “A healthier lifestyle”) for me by ________________________ (find a pal to keep me accountable, healthy recipes that will work with all of our family’s food restrictions and allergies and learn to plan meals)
The third paragraph will be about how this will make me feel once the intention starts blooming into an actual creation “This will put me (and my family) on the road to a healthier lifestyle, give me(us) more energy and get me closer to fitting into my favorite jeans again!”
I end the page with a doodle of me being happy. Sometimes dancing around :-D. In this case, I ended my page with a doodle of me before and after, 10 lbs lighter.
Then I sit, review what it is I want to co-create with Goddess and how it will make me feel and keep that feeling with me as I perform a bit of breathing meditation. This allows me to broadcast to the Universe/Goddess what I want to feel with the belief that the Law of Attraction will send it back (in this case, guidance on resources to use and the strength to not give up), like a special delivery from Goddess.
Take a deep breathe of the Divine Goddess’s life force energy which is all around us and allow it to push all stagnant energy out of your body on the exhale. Do this a few times with the intention of bringing in the new active energy and releasing the old energy. Then, simply focus your attention on your breath, the inhale through the nose and the exhale out the mouth. Observe each breath without trying to adjust it. Let it flow naturally. (It may help to focus on the rise and fall of your chest.) Focus your energy and say aloud your intentions for the lunar cycle.
I then end my meditation with the mantra Om Namo Narayani (NA-RA-YAH-KNEE) which means, I surrender to the Divine Goddess. I’ve made my plans and have committed to doing my part and have surrendered the plan over to her.
