The moon is now in the halfway phase between Full and New.
For the Full Moon Activity, the main task was centered around clearing our slate. Now is the time to finalize that. The activity can be found here if you missed it or want to review. It’s the time of adjustments and finalizing letting go of what isn’t serving us. We need to make way for the New Moon which brings with it the potential and the opportunity to co-create the life we want.
During this phase of the lunar cycle, challenges that arise may have a message for you. It may say move forward or that this is not the path. Whatever it is, know that it’s in your best interest.
If that challenge happens to be a fork in the road, take the time to evaluate your options and how they would serve your intentions. Review your New Moon intentions and congratulate yourself on any victories, no matter how small they seem. Start thinking about where you can go from here. What your new New Moon intentions should be; should they build upon the last New Moon intentions or should we pause those intentions and work on something completely new?
Each lunar cycle is the opportunity to manifest your dreams into reality. However, it is also an opportunity to rid yourself of the negatives that hold you back from manifesting in the next lunar cycle. The moon gives you strength, it affects your energy and understanding its phases will help you in your quest to understand yourself as a spiritual being.
As I’m writing this, I’m feeling a bit of disappointment after realizing one of my New Moon intentions from a few months ago is still very far from my grasp and may not turn out the way I had “planned” for it. But as they say, when man makes plans, Goddess laughs. Om Namo Narayani. I surrender to the Divine Goddess. My belief is that I will get the outcome I seek, that feeling I intended to experience from manifesting my intention, but it may not manifest the way I intended it to. And that’s OK. I always keep in mind that a NO, is Goddess’s protection.
So how do we prepare for the New Moon?
- Release. As mentioned above, its time to finalize the letting go of what’s not serving you.
- Clear out clutter. Take this time to clear out the clutter from your mind and your space. Remember, we’re making way for the new.
- Cleanse. Both your energy and your home.
- Create an “inspiration spot”. A place in your home where you can go to dream and journal and write your upcoming New Moon intentions. This could be a room or even a chair in the corner of a room. Mark your space with something special. When you enter this space, light a candle to acknowledge that you are in your creative space and ready to receive inspiration and guidance on any matter you are focusing on.
The New Moon is only one phase away! During the next phase, we’ll work on prepping ourselves spiritually for the coming New Moon.
